“Barnstorm has done it again, with bells on” – The Irish Times, March 10th, 2003

Gordon (Brian Thunder) and Tony (Stephen Kelly)
Little Victories takes us on a voyage of discovery through Tony’s eyes as he struggles to come to terms with his father’s death. His mischievousness, his jokes and his defiance are all attempts to cover up his true feeling of loss, vulnerability, jealousy and fear at this time of immense change in his life. Offering him some hope in the face of all these challenges is the wonderful, simple, straightforward friendship which develops between Tony and Josie.
Ultimately, it is the developing relationships between family and friends which provide the play’s little victories.
Thematically, the play explores the process of a young person coming to terms with change in his life.
A play for children aged 8 – 13 years.
